Historic Sites of Manitoba: Manitoba Pool Grain Elevator A / Private Grain Elevator (Birdtail, Municipality of Rossburn)Link to: A wooden grain elevator at the railway siding of Birdtail, on the CNR Rossburn Subdivision in what is now the Municipality of Rossburn, was built in 1929 and operated by the British America Elevator Company. Later sold to Manitoba Pool Elevators, the elevator closed in December 1974 and was later used for private grain storage. The adjacent railway line was abandoned in 1996 and the building was destroyed by fire on the evening of 13 October 2008. The cause of the fire was unknown. Agents / Buyers
