Historic Sites of Manitoba: Belmont Service Station (1777 Main Street, Winnipeg)

Formerly located at the northeast corner of Main Street and Belmont Avenue in West Kildonan (now part of Winnipeg), a one-storey cream brick building, measuring 20 feet by 28 feet, was built in 1928 as a service station for proprietor Charles Pearce. The building originally had two gasoline pumps that sold British American Oil Company brand gasoline, and a small office for the service station attendant.

The building has since been demolished and the site is now occupied by a different commercial building.
