Historic Sites of Manitoba: Barkman House (330 Elm Avenue, Steinbach)

This one-storey wood frame house on Elm Avenue in Steinbach was built around 1925. It was the former residence of Johan Giesbrecht Barkman (1858-1937), who was Mayor from 1885 to 1915. The attic provided sleeping quarters for children.
