Historic Sites of Manitoba: Bank of Hamilton Building / Bank of Commerce Building / Cohoe Drug Store (105 Railway Street South, Pilot Mound, Municipality of Louise)

This two-storey brick building on Railway Street in Pilot Mound, in the Municipality of Louise, measuring 25 feet by 50 feet, was built by businessman Dugald “D. B.” Graham (1853-1939) as a branch of the Bank of Hamilton. Originally a one-storey structure, the second floor was added later as a residence for the Graham family.

In 1923, the bank merged with the Canadian Bank of Commerce and continued in operation until closing in 1927. The building was later occupied the Pilot Mound Pharmacy run by Dr. Thomas Andrew Cohoe (1879-1939).

At the time of an April 2025 site visit, the building was vacant, surrounded by a fence. It was demolished in June 2025.
