Historic Sites of Manitoba: Baldwinson Duplex (501-503 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg)

A 2½-storey wood frame, wood plank and half rounded shingle siding, Queen Anne Revival-style duplex residence was on Sherbrook Street in Winnipeg. Measuring 40 feet by 40 feet, it was built in 1906 by contractor John Thorburn Hunter at a cost of about $6,000, for owner Baldwin Larus Baldwinson. In its original configuration, the building contained two residential apartments.

Damaged by a fire in early August 2026, it was destroyed by a second fire on 13 August 2026.
