This 2½-storey wood frame and wood plank siding, Queen Anne Revival-style house is on Redwood Avenue in Winnipeg. Measuring 26 feet by 28 feet, it was built in 1905 by contractor Johann “John” Yost at a cost of about $2,500, for owner Henry Yost (1879-1953). He sold it to Phillip Baker (c1869-?), a carpenter.
At the time of a 2020 site visit, the house was relatively unmodified from its original appearance. It still featured the original three distinctive round arched-style windows on the top floor, as well as the decorative sunburst detailing on the gables.
