This 2½-storey wood frame and stucco, Prairie Influenced American Foursquare-style house on McAdam Avenue in Winnipeg, measuring 22 feet by 26 feet, and 8 feet by 10 feet, was designed by local architect Edmund Walter Crayston and built in 1911 by contractor Everett L. Fisher at a cost of about $3,000, for owner George Clayton Bakeman (1873-1931). He was a conductor at the Canadian Northern Railway.
At the time of a 2025 site visit, the house was slightly modified from its original appearance.
