Sylvia Van Kirk

Historian.

She was a Killam Fellow at Dalhousie University and is presently [1975] Assistant Professor of History at that same University in Halifax. She has studied in England under grants from the I.O.D.E. and the Canada Council. She has contributed to learned journals and the Dictionary of Canadian Biography and is now [1975] completing her thesis on the subject of Role of Women in Fur Trade Society in the Canadian West for her PhD at the University of London.
