Memorable Manitobans: Government of Manitoba: Good Roads Board

The Board, which administered the Good Roads Act passed in 1914, consisted of a Highway Commissioner appointed originally by the provincial government in 1910 and three members chosen by the Manitoba Good Roads Association. It operated until 1943 when it was replaced by the Highways Branch in the Department of Public Works.
