Memorable Manitobans: Alice Hamilton (1913-1991)Educator. Born at Bedford, Nova Scotia in 1913, she graduated in arts from Dalhousie and received a PhD from the University of London. After teaching at Dalhousie and Union Theological Seminary she came to United College in 1959, teaching there until her retirement in 1979.
