Historian.

Born in 1956, daughter of Frances Mae Owens (1928-2008) and Colin Sinclair Walley, in 2009 she obtained a PhD degree from Memorial University of Newfoundland. Since then she has worked with the Governments of Canada and Manitoba, recovering the history of the Legislative Assembly of the Provisional Government of Assiniboia (1870), and researching the Métis experience with residential schools.
